Qualified Teacher of Children and Young People Who Are Deaf Service
Language assessments
I can perform language assessments to test expressive or receptive language. Assessment results can be used to identify areas for language interventions or to provide evidence to schools or other professionals.
Professional reports
I can prepare a professional QToD report, to provide supporting evidence for annual reviews and other needs. The report is compiled through meeting you and your child or young person and making a visit to their educational setting
Language interventions
I plan and teach language interventions tailored to the child or young person's specific needs, based on formative and summative assessments. Interventions can also be focused around subject-specific vocabulary.
Service access support
I can provide support to you and your child or young person to understand and complete forms with a lot of written English, including PIP forms, job applications, university forms and EHC Needs Assessments.
Maths interventions
I plan and teach Maths interventions, using assessments to identify gaps before planning a tailored programme of study.
BSL and SSE support
I can provide any of my services in British Sign Language or Sign Supported English, to best support your child or young person in their learning.
